Angela Gelin
Licensed Associate Marriage and Family Therapist, Licensed Associate Counselor
I am a Licensed Associate Marriage and Family Therapist, and a Licensed Associate Counselor. I received my Masters in Marriage, Couple, and Family Counseling from Messiah University, and my Bachelor’s degree from Rider University. I am currently training in Gottman Method Couples Therapy.
I enjoy working with couples to help them communicate and rediscover a love that builds beyond barriers. I also enjoy helping families learn to relate to one another and tackle problems as a team. My primary approach to therapy with individuals is a blend of Narrative, Solution Focused, and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy. I strive to equip clients with tools to cultivate greater self-awareness and overcome whatever obstacles they face. My approach takes into account counseling techniques that are incredibly useful in multicultural communities, helping clients to break free from old patterns and navigate new meaning in their life and relationships.
I have experience working with couples (premarital, marital, ambivalent, divorcing), as well as persons dealing with anxiety, depression, trauma, grief and PTSD. I also have experience working with young children and families with ADHD and autism.
A fun fact about me is that I’m fluent in Italian as I have spent some time living in Italy!
